The blade is Mylar polyester coated along its length to extend its life, with Blade Armor bonded over the initial section where wear concentrates. The patented airlock slide lock grabs the blade on the side, top and bottom, and the three-rivet corrosion-resistant True Zero end hook is calibrated so inside and outside measurements both read true.
